I became a member of the Community Smiles team in June of 2010. Previously, I worked as a Research Associate at the University of Miami’s School of Medicine with children at risk for Type 2 diabetes, and as a result became interested in pursuing a public health focused career. In October of 2008, I accepted an internship at the National Cancer Hospital in Lima, Peru in the Department of Health Promotion and Cancer Prevention. I interned there until February of 2010.

Currently, I am working towards a second Bachelor’s degree in nursing. My passion for public health grows every day and as a member of the Community Smiles team, I look forward to helping the underserved population of Miami-Dade County.
